Here's how to get pRCT to your new Pocket PC and obtain a new activation code. These directions assume your old Pocket PC is functional enough to deactivate. If not, please follow these instructions.
PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS COMPLETELY AND FOLLOW ALL DIRECTIONS IN ORDER TO AVOID ANY DELAY GETTING YOUR NEW ACTIVATION CODE.

too much hassle, it may not be worth your time to try and deactivate.

0. Pick out your new Pocket PC. Make sure you are aware that your machine must have a slot for your SentinelKey, CF, SD, mini-SD or micro-SD card. For compatibility information see www.reyburn.com/pocketpc.html If the new machine does not have the right type slot you will need to switch machines or trade your SentinelKey for a different type. See the cross-grade form form for this trade.
1. Install Pocket RCT v4.0.0f1 or later on your newer machine. If you can't get Pocket RCT installed and view the Pocket RCT Activation Window on the new machine, do not deactivate the old machine, do not continue to step 2. If you get any warnings installing Pocket RCT, do not continue.
For help installing Pocket RCT review the pRCT Getting Started Manual's install instructions, Trouble shooting section and the internet download instructions. Contact RCT support if you still can't get pRCT installed on the new machine.
Does your new machine have Windows Mobile 5.0? Do you have a Pocket RCT version older than 4.0.0f1 on your new or old machine? If the answer is yes in either case you need to upgrade to a later version, see this page:

2. Install Pocket RCT v4.0.0f1 or later from reyburn.com web site, update card or other source to your *old* machine. Tap the "About" menu in Pocket RCT to see if you need to update your old machine.
3. Verify that you have Pocket RCT 4.0.0f1 or later on the old machine: Start Pocket RCT on the old machine, and tap "About" to make sure you are running v4.0.0f1 or later. If you are using an older version, don't proceed any further until you obtain a later version and install it.
4. On the old machine, choose Start, Settings, System tab, Remove Programs. Tap on "Reyburn Piano... Pocket RCT" and tap "Remove".
5. When asked to Deactivate tap "Yes".
6. Write down the deactivation code, it will be 8 digits, letters & numbers. If the deactivation code is less than 8 digits it is not valid, you must have deactivated with an older version. Go back to step 2 above and reinstall, and try deactivating again with 4.0.0f1 or later.
If for some reason you didn't get an 8 digit deactivation code, start Pocket Word or File Explorer and browse to the Sentinelkey memory card. Open the file called "Activate". This file will contain the 8 digit deactivation code if deactivation was successful. If that doesn't work try installing Pocket RCT again, then browse with File Explorer to My Device/Program Files/Pocket RCT and tap "deactivate".

Note: Normally we respond to activation requests by the end of the next business day, sooner if possible.
Please include the 8 digit deactivation code in the next to last field in the activation web form. Even if you already filled out the web form recently, doing so again will speed things up.
