Full support is available for the latest RCT and Pocket RCT versions even if you are not the original purchaser!
Registration and this support package is also needed for RCT units sold in North America which are later shipped outside North America and require non-English support.
Here's how to receive support:
After purchasing a used copy of RCT, contact Reyburn Piano Service, Inc. or see below to
to purchase a support package.
When contacting us please include name, mailing address, phone number, RCT version and serial number and
who you purchased it from. We will need a faxed copy or photocopy of the receipt from the
previous registered licensee. The receipt must be dated and include the previous registered user's name and the RCT serial number.
We require this to protect registered RCT users and our company from theft.
Please note that RCT version 4.x or later for Windows or Macintosh is required. If you have an older version such as 3.0x or 3.5x, you will need to purchase an upgrade, see upgrade page for details.

The package includes a number of valuable benefits:
1. Official RCT registration which makes you eligible for future upgrades. You have the same pricing for upgrades or cross-grades as the original purchaser would have.
2. Free minor upgrade if you have the most recent major version.
3. A 20% discount off any major upgrade CD or upgrade memory card or any missing items if ordered at the same time as the support package (no discount on internet download).

4. Unlimited toll free phone and email support from RPS, Inc or any RCT distributor.
5. Access to the private CyberTuner listservs.
Note: There is no charge for the re-registration of an RCT license in two cases:
1. Within the same immediate family (for instance from father to son).
or
2. Within a company (where the copy is registered and owned in the name of the company),
Current employment verification may be required.
Once your copy of RCT is registered according to the terms on this page, you can "cross-grade" or trade in your unit for any other platform we support such as Pocket PC or MacOS X. See download page for cross-grade forms. For upgrade or cross-grade purposes, your "original purchase date" is the same as the original purchaser.
Each copy of RCT includes a hardware key called "SentinelKey". If you don't get a SentinelKey with your purchase, you did not get a license to run RCT. If you did not get a SentinelKey or if your SentinelKey is locked you should talk to the seller, we can't sell you a SentinelKey for less than the full retail RCT price. See below for details.
RCT for Windows or Macintosh: The SentinelKey must be unlocked when you receive it or you won't be able to use the RCT software.
The only exception is if you purchased the machine the key is locked to.
With RCT you should have received two floppy disks or a CD-Rom, a Getting Started manual, and a 138 page printed manual.
RCT 3.5x and later included a "CyberFork" or hardware A440 pitch source which you will need in the future, make sure you get it from the previous user.
There may be a charge to run on newer systems such as Windows Vista, MacOS X or Intel Mac if the original purchaser didn't have a license to run RCT on the newer system, see upgrade page for details.
Pocket RCT: If you didn't purchase the original machine with Pocket RCT activated, then make sure the SentinelKey was deactivated from the previous machine and the deactivation code verified by RPS, Inc.
The deactivation must be done with Pocket RCT 2.0.3x or later for English machines or 3.2.0f2 or later for non-English machines.
With Pocket RCT you should have received a printed 24 Getting Started manual and a a "CyberFork" or hardware A440 pitch source which you will need in the future, make sure you get it from the previous user.
Upgrade to the latest 3.x version is free once you are registered, versions older than 3.0.0f1 are not supported.
There may be a charge to run on Windows Mobile 5 or 6 if the original purchaser didn't have a license to run Pocket RCT on that newer OS, see upgrade page for details.
