Before you submit an activation code request form you must have installed the latest Pocket RCT
version on your Pocket PC. To do so, follow the instructions in the latest
Pocket RCT Getting Started Manual, or download the latest upgrade and follow the instructions that come with the download.

Why is this necessary?
1. Installing Pocket RCT and at least viewing the Activation window gives assurance that the machine will run our software. An activation code for a machine that won't install or run Pocket RCT is useless.
2. Machine serial numbers from any other source other than the Pocket RCT
activation window are not reliable, and will cause your activation code to fail. So there
is no point in submitting the form until you can get the right number.
IMPORTANT: Press the S/N button in the Pocket RCT Activation window to obtain the Pocket PC serial number. This number will be 10, 12 or 20 digits. Serial numbers obtained anywhere else WILL NOT WORK!
3. We don't support any Pocket RCT version older than 4.0.0f1. The latest version is a free upgrade for all Pocket RCT users, and is much more stable and reliable than any previous version.
4. We want the activation code to work the very first time. Unless the information you provide is accurate, it won't work and you will have to submit the form again with more delay. Better (and quicker!) to do it right the first time!
5. If you are moving your license from one Pocket PC to another, you can install Pocket RCT on the new machine *before* deactivating from the old machine. This assures you that the new machine will be Pocket RCT capable before the old machine is no longer able to run Pocket RCT.
Note: You do not need an activation code to do the initial Pocket RCT installation. You will need an activation code to tune pianos with Pocket RCT.
